Flute Day

Sally Wallker, Prof. Eckart Altenmüller and Kiri Sollis.

Flute Day will feature internationally acclaimed neurologist/flautist: Prof. Eckart Altenmüller (Institute of Music Physiology and Musicians’ Medicine Hanover, Germany), Sally Walker (ANU School of Music/Omega Ensemble), Kiri Sollis (Griffyn Ensemble) and other esteemed Canberra flautists and teachers including: Kate Murphy, Jodie Petrov and Jane Rayner, and pianist Natalia Tkachenko.

Activities will include:

  • Music/Mind/Body workshop from a leading world authority;
  • Flute ensembles (beginner – professional levels);
  • Masterclasses;
  • Concert;
  • Flute maintenance; 
  • games for young flautists and more!


In additon to the above activities, a teachers' brunch will be held between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Aimed at: 
Beginners – professionals. All ages welcome.  Participants must register by 8th March 2018.
